What is Museums Show Off? It’s a chance for you to get up and talk about what ever museum project, subject, theory, or trend has you inspired, puzzled, or curious for what comes next.  9 minutes, slides if you want, a microphone, and YOU!

    Great to hear about tomorrow nights Show Off.

    We have all heard how the “solution to pollution is dilution”. But is it the solution to controversial subject matter, that is do not remove the provocative object on display but rather surround it with many other objects. For contexts sake.

    The provocative object: the Confederate flag(s), the solution: create a changeable exhibit system, buy a whole bunch of little-known local battle flags, and to top it off, include the union flag as well.

    That was our interpretive challenge if you are tasked with interpreting the Confederate Reunion Grounds in Mexia, Texas!
